What to Expect

The Grampians National Park is in the northwest of Victoria. Famous for its series of five spectacular sandstone ridges running north to south with steep and craggy slopes on the eastern side and gentler slopes to the west, the Grampians are the result of earth movements lifting and tilting the hard sandstones to create an impressive landscape of peaks and valleys.

Your day trip to this wonderful part of the state begins early with a 6:30 am departure from Melbourne. Doing so means the trip stays ahead of the other tour buses, and you get to enjoy a much less crowded experience.

Driving west out of Melbourne, the tour heads straight for the Grampians to visit a variety of lookouts for incredible views. The first stop is Boroka Lookout, where you will get great views over the village of Halls Gap. Next is Reed Lookout and The Balconies (formerly known as the Jaws of Death), then the final lookout for the morning is the McKenzie Falls, with an epic 400 steps to the bottom.

While you're travelling, remember to look out for the vast number of wildlife, including kangaroos and wallabies. Many varieties of birdlife, including cockatoos, frequent Halls Gap and the surrounding areas.

Descending from the mountains, stop in Halls Gap for lunch (not included). You'll have time to browse the local shops, buy ice cream or some local fudge.

After lunch, the last stop is the Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre where you get to learn about some of the indigenous history of the Grampians. Once you're finished here, the journey back to Melbourne begins, arriving at approximately 7:00 pm.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations up to 7 days prior to the trip will incur a cancellation fee of 25% tour price (if booked via agent extra cancellation fees might apply)
Cancellations within 7 days result in loss of full fee
Date or tour changes are permitted up to 7 days prior to the current tour booked, subject to availability
Failing to attend the tour, or arriving late at the pickup point will result in loss of all money paid

Covid-19 Special Conditions and Rules

The following rules, refund and cancellation policies are for all new bookings from the 1st September 2020 until further notice.
Cancellation is allowed up to 24 hours before departure. A full refund will be provided on all direct bookings on the website. (if booking via an agent, please check with them regards their cancellation policy)
Date or tour changes are permitted up to 24 hours prior to the current departure date, subject to availability
If customers have any symptoms for Covid-19 they will not be allowed to board the bus. They will need to reschedule or cancel the tour and get a full refund
Passengers need to follow social distance and remain in their seat allocated by the driver
Passengers need to keep the same seat for the complete trip
Passengers need to use hand sanitiser before getting onto the bus
Face mask to be worn (as per local government regulations)
All passengers need to be fully vaccinated, and provide proof before boarding the bus
Passengers will be required to provide details of all travellers at the time of booking (Name, Email, Phone)
Around And About might have to cancel the tour on short notice if the driver is ill

Full payment is required when booking online or via a booking agent
Cancellations up to 21 days prior to departure will incur a cancellation fee of 10% tour price (if booked via agent extra cancellation fees might apply)
Cancellations between 21 days and 7 days prior to departure will incur a cancellation fee of 25% tour price (if booked via agent extra cancellation fees might apply)
Cancellations within 7 days result in loss of full fee

All passengers, including children, need to have a seat. (Baby seats available on request)
No standing or moving seats while the vehicle is travelling
No smoking on the bus
No drinking of alcohol on the bus
Passengers are welcome to eat and drink on the bus. (No Alcohol)
All rubbish to be placed in the rubbish bin
Remember to bring your own water bottle
