Enjoy a thrilling jet boat ride to your very own secluded river beach, where you will relax with a barbecue lunch on the banks of the beautiful Hurunui River.

Located just one hour from Christchurch, meet for your 2-hour adventure at the bridge of the Hurunui River on State Highway 1. Flowing from the Southern Alps to the Pacific Ocean, the river offers some of the most diverse and picturesque scenery in the country.

Your energising jet boat ride will not be short of high-speed spins and turns as you experience the stunning combination of shallow river braids, beautiful canyons and large boulder fields. You will then disembark into a feeling of pure nature and remoteness. Relax with some music, take a walk or even a swim as you are cooked a delicious selection of local produce on the river’s edge.

This is your chance to really experience how many New Zealanders enjoy their spare time as you take a pause to soak in the serenity. Finish your river experience with a short blast back up the river to civilisation.
