Our boat tours are perfect for kids over 3 years old, we even offer discounts for children under 12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept children under the age of 3.

We operate in the natural environment, which can be subject to change. If the LIVE weather conditions are different to what is forecast, we may choose to postpone or cancel your tour. If this happens, bookings can be rescheduled (subject to availability) or refunded. If there is light rain on the day, the tour will still run.

You should dress for the conditions on the day. Make sure to wear enclosed shoes, and warm clothes (particularly in winter).

Our crew will provide you with premium weatherproof jackets (should you need them), ensuring your tour is both enjoyable and comfortable.

Harbour Square Boat Dock is wheelchair and walker accessible, although there is a 40-50cm step down into and out of the boat. If you have special requirements with boarding or disembarking, please get in contact with us, and we would be more than happy to help.

Embark on a cruising adventure along the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie coastline experiencing the breathtaking coastal scenery from a unique perspective on board a&nbsp;custom-built vessel. Newcastle&#39;s backyard plays&nbsp;host to pods of resident dolphins, seabirds, turtles and other marine life that you may be lucky enough to encounter along the 2.5-hour journey.

Enjoy the thrill as you cruise 30 kilometres down the Hunter Coast towards stunning Caves Beach and historic Catherine Hill Bay.&nbsp;Along the way, you will have an amazing&nbsp;view of Newcastle Harbour, historic World War II coastal forts, world-renowned surfing beaches and rugged sea cliffs.

The tour visits Newcastle&rsquo;s most impressive sights including the ANZAC Memorial Walk, the Bogey Hole, Glenrock Lagoon, Redhead Beach&#39;s iconic shark tower as well as hidden gems like the tiny&nbsp;Moon Island and&nbsp;Pinney&#39;s Headland. Marvel at the amazing sea caves at Caves Beach, with ours being the only adventure boat to visit the&nbsp;caves up close.&nbsp;

Be captivated by the abundance of marine life and beautiful landscapes, including volcanic rocks, fascinating coal seams, and sedimentary cliffs. Many of these are important Indigenous sites that carry great significance for the local Awabakal people.

By booking a tour with The Operator you agree to follow all laws, rules and directions from staff regarding your interaction with the environment. This includes respecting wildlife, who should not be interfered with in any way. Litter or other forms of pollution will not be tolerated.

Bookings

In booking with THE OPERATOR you understand and accept that you are participating in an experience that involves risk. 
These terms and conditions apply to any booking you make with The Operator whether it be over the phone, email, online or via our website. You may book directly through our website indirectly through one of The Operator&rsquo;s booking partners or agents. 
We will rely on the authority of the person making the booking to act on behalf of any other guests under the same booking and as that person, you agree to provide these terms and conditions to the other guests under your booking, you are binding all such guests (including yourself) to these terms and conditions and you have the authority to act on such individual&rsquo;s behalf. 
Each individual or group must have a unique booking confirmation in order to participate in The Operator&rsquo;s experiences. 
After booking, please check your booking confirmation to ensure all details are correct, the individuals listed on the confirmation must be the individuals participating on the day. 
In the event an error has been made to your booking, please contact The Operator as soon as possible. It is at the discretion of The Operator&rsquo;s staff as to whether the change should be honoured, or whether it is subject to the refund or cancellation policies listed below. 
Bookings must be made at least 30 minutes prior to departure, otherwise booking will be invalid. 
Full payment must be made at the time of booking (with the exclusion of group and charter bookings). 
Private tours, events or charters are required to pay a 50% deposit to confirm the booking, and the full booking amount must be paid at least 1 week prior to departure. 
Gift certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase, and cannot be extended past this date. 
Merchandise may take up to 15 business days to be delivered, please note refunds are only honoured in the event the item is damaged. 
All prices are in AUD and include GST.

Experiences

Your experience with The Operator is undertaken entirely at your own risk. With the exclusion of gross negligence proven in a court of law, you agree that The Operator, its directors, employees, agents, affiliates or partners will not be held liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage to any person or property however caused whilst you are partaking in The Operator&rsquo;s experiences or embarking, travelling on or disembarking from The Operator&rsquo;s vessels. 
The Operator may offer additional products or experiences through one of our partners, please refer to the individual terms outlined by these partners before purchasing such products or experiences, as The Operator will not be held liable for these products or experiences. 
Guests must arrive at the designated departure point 15 minutes prior to departure. 
While aboard THE OPERATOR&#39;s vessel no seating configuration is guaranteed, although THE OPERATOR&rsquo;s staff will do the best they can to accommodate the particular requirements and needs of their passengers. 
THE OPERATOR operates in the natural environment and guests can get wet or be exposed to various weather conditions. 
If whales are not spotted on a designated whale watch tour between the months of June to November, each passenger will be entitled to a &lsquo;standby ticket&rsquo; enabling them to return on another subsequent tour date, this ticket is subject to availability, must be used within the same whale watching season and during a tour with other paying passengers onboard (this does not apply to group or charter bookings). 
All children must be accompanied by an adult. 
Guests with any medical condition, injury, potential health risk or who are pregnant must advise THE OPERATOR prior to your departure, it is recommended that these passengers do not partake in THE OPERATOR experiences and if so, do at their own risk. 
By choosing to participate in THE OPERATOR&rsquo;s experiences, you agree to be physically fit and capable of the activity you will partake in.&nbsp; 
While aboard THE OPERATOR&#39;s vessel, passengers seated in the front two rows of the vessel are required to wear the lap sashes provided at all times. 
THE OPERATOR must not be held liable for the safety, loss or damage of personal valuables while participating in THE OPERATOR&rsquo;s experiences. 
No smoking is permitted on any experiences at any time. 
THE OPERATOR reserves the right to refuse any guest displaying signs of intoxication or drug use and will not issue a refund in this instance. 
THE OPERATOR reserves the right to refuse any guest if THE OPERATOR&rsquo;s staff believe the guest will compromise the safety of others. 
In the case of uncertain weather conditions please contact The Operator the day before to confirm any possible cancellations. 
THE OPERATOR reserve the right to cancel, change or adapt any tour it sees fit allowing for weather, safety or equipment concerns. THE OPERATOR will not be held liable for any loss or expense incurred by the passenger caused by such cancellation, change or adaptation.

REFUND POLICY

Rescheduling of a booking is permitted up to 48 hours from the designated departure time, (please email us if you wish to reschedule) &ndash; excluding private tours, events or charters which require 1 weeks&rsquo; notice from the departure date. 
All tickets are non-refundable within 48 hours of departure. 
Bookings made within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable. 
Guests must refer to third party booking partners or agents in the event of a cancellation. 
Gift certificates are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. 
If THE OPERATOR cancels a tour, it will be rescheduled. If for whatever reason the tour cannot be rescheduled, you will be entitled to a refund or a gift certificate of equivalent value (excluding any booking fees). 
If a private tour, event or charter is cancelled, any outstanding costs related to the booking may be passed onto the client. Alternatively, it may be rescheduled if that conveniences both parties, if it cannot be rescheduled, a refund will be given, excluding any outstanding costs related to the private tour, event or charter. 
(Prints only) We do not offer refunds on our prints (so make sure you are confident in your purchase before ordering). Each print is quality checked before it leaves the gallery to ensure print consistency is maintained to a very high standard. If there has been a mistake on your print order or damage due to delivery, you are entitled to a replacement print.
