To ensure the well-being and conservation of koalas, it is best to observe them from a safe distance and respect their natural behavior in their native habitat. If you visit a wildlife sanctuary or rehabilitation center that allows limited contact with koalas, it is important to follow the guidelines provided by the staff to ensure the safety and welfare of the animals.

Get picked up from your accommodation in a luxury 8-seater 4WD van as you head into the beautiful bushlands and eucalyptus forests to start your wildlife experience. Joined by a&nbsp;passionate guide and environmental scientist,&nbsp;spend about an hour exploring known koala habitats&nbsp;to&nbsp;spot the koalas in the wild. Koalas are among the largest tree-dwelling marsupials and have a very slow metabolism, so it&#39;s no wonder they can sleep up to 20 hours a day while slowly digesting eucalyptus leaves.&nbsp;

On this tour, you are guaranteed to see&nbsp;koalas. How many you see varies, but it is likely to see between two and ten on any given day. Sometimes the ones you do see are asleep high up in the trees &ndash; that&rsquo;s koalas for you!&nbsp;Our guide will have a camera with excellent zoom to take some amazing images that they are happy to share with the group, so if you only have a smartphone, you can still go home with some great memories.&nbsp;After&nbsp;your nature experience, you will be treated&nbsp;to morning tea of local tea or coffee and delicious Byron Bay cookies.

Sadly koalas are in danger of extinction. As an eco-tour company, we are held to a high standard of care and responsibility and will&nbsp;do what we can to protect and preserve them. We vary the locations for our koala tours to minimise our impact and make a&nbsp;donation per person to Friends of the Koala. This is a local group that takes care of sick and injured koalas. You will not be able to touch or feed any koalas on this tour.

In the case of adverse weather conditions or any other environmental condition which may prevent a trip (including Park closure), a suitable alternative date will first be attempted by both parties. If an alternative date can not be found, a full refund will be issued. If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice prior to the scheduled trip date The Operator will issue a full refund. If you cancel 48-24 hours prior to the scheduled trip date, The Operator will issue a 50% refund.&nbsp;If you cancel within 24 hours or&nbsp;are a &quot;no show&quot;, no refund will be issued. Although every reasonable attempt will be made for participants to observe animals, we are dealing with the natural world and therefore there will be no guarantees of animal sightings except where specifically stated.

Booking Policy: 1. Full payment must be made at the time of booking. 2. In the case of adverse weather conditions or any other environmental condition which may prevent a trip (including Park closure), a suitable alternative date will first be attempted by both parties. If an alternative date can not be found a full refund will be issued. 3. All participants will be required to sign a form to release claims to waiver liability and assumption of risk. Parents or guardians will need to sign forms on behalf of participants under 18 years of age. 4. The Operator reserves the right to refuse admission to participants who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs (this is for your safety). If a participant has been excluded for intoxication a suitable alternative date will be attempted by both parties, if no suitable date can be found, NO REFUND will be offered. 5. All participants agree to follow the instructions of The Operator&#39;s guides at all times. 6. Anyone&nbsp;found maliciously harming the park or equipment in any way, will be excluded from the trip at the nearest possible exit point and will be reported to the authorities. NO REFUND will be given. 7. Although every reasonable attempt will be made for participants to observe animals, we are dealing with the natural world and therefore there will be no guarantees of animal sightings except where specifically stated. 8. Concession is any pensioner or student with a valid card. A child is a person aged between 10-17. Concessions must show their valid card at pick up. 9. The night vision experience is not recommended for people with epilepsy.
