We suggest you bring enclosed walking shoes, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle, and warm layers in cooler months. You&#39;ll also want to bring money for lunch and souvenirs.&nbsp;

We are more than happy to accommodate children; however, some restrictions may apply. There is no minimum age on the day tours, however, we do recommend that people travelling with children consider whether the itinerary is suitable, in particular the activities involved and the duration of the tour, to ensure the comfort of small children. For all tour types children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

On the day tours, the fleet can vary, and mini coaches are sometimes used to accommodate smaller groups. These mini coaches do not have a restroom or reclining seats. However, regular stops are made so you can access facilities.&nbsp;

<h3>The West MacDonnell Ranges and John Flynn&#39;s Grave</h3>

First up in the morning, you&rsquo;re headed for the beautiful West MacDonnell Ranges, which stretch over 600 km east and west of Alice Springs. Along the way, your Driver Guide will point out significant landmarks and share details of the region&rsquo;s history and rich culture. You&#39;ll also make a stop just outside Alice Springs at the foot of the Ranges to visit&nbsp;John Flynn&rsquo;s Grave, the final resting place of the founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

<h3>Simpsons Gap and Angkerle (Standley Chasm)</h3>

After your stop, you&#39;ll continue onto the ranges. Here you&rsquo;ll explore Simpsons Gap, walking through the towering cliffs to the waterhole and keeping an eye out for the black-footed rock wallabies that call this beautiful location home. Afterwards, you&#39;ll take a short drive to&nbsp;Angkerle (Standley Chasm), where you can wander along its stony watercourse as you try to spot&nbsp;the unique birds and wildlife that inhabit the area.

<h3>Enjoy Morning Tea Before Heading Back to Explore Alice Springs</h3>

You&#39;ll wrap up your time in Angkerle (Standley Chasm) with a spot of morning tea&nbsp;before heading back to Alice Springs. Upon your return, you&#39;ll get to learn how this charming town evolved into the central hub of the Australian outback. This will include visits to many of the town&#39;s historic sites as well as checking out some of the essential services Alice delivers to the community of this vast region.

<h3>The School of the Air and the Telegraph Station</h3>

The first stop is the School of the Air, which provides education to primary-school-aged children living in remote areas. Then, it&rsquo;s onto the Telegraph Station, which was the first site of European settlement in Alice Springs. It relayed messages between Darwin and Adelaide for 60 years as part of the Overland Telegraph Line.

<h3>Royal Flying Doctor Service and Alice Springs Reptile Centre</h3>

Later in the afternoon take a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which delivers medical services to those living in remote areas. It&rsquo;s an important lifeline for many people&nbsp;and is essential for keeping Australia&#39;s remote communities connected. After your tour here, you&#39;ll set off to encounter goannas, frill-neck lizards and Terry the saltwater crocodile at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre.
