This Philippines Explorer tour is an independent tour package that includes accommodation in private rooms (3-4* hotels) as well as internal flights, expert local guides, some meals, all transport, and activities as per itinerary.
Frequently Asked Questions
All your activities, accommodation, transport and some meals are included, so you’ll just need money for any extra meals, drinks, shopping and any onward travel. We recommend you bring at least $500 AUD spending money per person.
We always recommend travelling with a backpack and packing light! 10-20kgs of stuff should be plenty. It’s usually pretty hot in the Philippines, which makes pulling too much luggage around a somewhat sweaty affair.
Most nationalities including Australia, UK, Europe, NZ, Canada and US do not need a visa to enter the Philippines. If you plan to stay in the Philippines for longer than 30 days you will need to extend your visa for a fee of approximately $80 AUD. We recommend checking with your local Philippines consulate for up to date visa requirements and costs. If you need any further help with visas just ask us.

1. Our contract
All bookings are made with Do You Travel (ABN 28 564 274 760) (us/we). By booking a trip with us you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and us) and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation invoice.
2. Deposit requirement
You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit per person per trip for your booking to be confirmed. If your booking is made within 60 days of the departure date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
3. Acceptance of booking and final payments
If we accept your booking we will issue a confirmation invoice. A contract will exist between us from the date we issue the confirmation invoice or if you book within 60 days of departure the contract will exist when we accept your payment. Payment of the balance of the trip price is due 60 days before the departure date. Your card will be charged the remaining amount on this day. If this balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and retain your deposit.
4. Free and flexible changes
For bookings made in 2020, we’ve dropped our trip transfer fee. This means you can change your trip, for any reason, up to 14 days before your scheduled departure date. No hassle, no questions asked and no charge. If you choose to amend your booking, you can select any new departure date that is suitable.
Cancellation by the traveller:
If you need to cancel your booking with Do You Travel you will need to notify us in writing (by e-mail).
- 60 days or more prior to departure, we will offer you the choice of moving to a different trip or forfeiting the deposit.
- Between 31 and 59 days prior to departure, we will retain the deposit or 50% of the total booking cost; whichever is greater, and
- 30 days or less prior to departure, we will retain 100% paid by you in connection with the booking.
You are strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance at the time of booking which will cover cancellation fees. If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. The above cancellation fees are in addition to fees which may be levied by accommodation providers, travel agents or third party tour and transport operator fees.
Cancellation by the operator:
Do You Travel may cancel a trip at any time prior to departure if, due to terrorism, natural, disasters, political instability or other external events which make it difficult or unsafe to run the tour. If we cancel your trip, you can transfer amounts paid to an alternative start date or in circumstances where cancellation is due to external events outside our reasonable control, refunds will be offered less any unrecoverable expenses such as domestic flights booked already by Do You Travel. We are not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking including, but not limited to, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance excess or non-refundable flights.
6. Open Dated bookings
Any tours purchased via Open Dated booking online will be price locked at the value of the tour made at the time of booking.
Your Open Dated booking is valid for life.
Scheduled tour dates will be available on the website once travel restrictions are lifted.
You will be emailed a notification when the dates become available and you may select your desired travel date at any time from then.
You must notify us of your desired start date or tour preferences more than 60 days prior to the start date of your tour. Your request for a start date or tour change will be subject to the availability of your desired tour or date.
Once you have selected a start date we will email you an invoice to pay the remaining balance of your booking, which will be due for final payment 60 days prior to your tour start date.
